UPDATED MAY 13, 2021

Summer is swiftly approaching, and we could not be more excited! We have been working tirelessly to create a summer program full of the fun, excitement, and CGI spirit that you all know and love, but that still allows for a safe and healthy summer camp experience.

To that end, we have been in close communication for weeks with the NJ State Department of health to make sure that we follow all the appropriate guidelines.

We want you to know that we believe that fun and excitement need not come at the expense of health and safety - and this summer will prove just how seamlessly the two can work together. We will do our very best to provide a sense of normalcy and familiarity to our CGI veterans without compromising on the safety guideline, and we can't wait to take you all along for the ride!

Kiddy Camp (3-5 year old's) will not be going on trips this summer.

Juniors and Pioneers will be going on carefully chosen outdoor trips, such as hiking, berry picking etc. where we will either be alone or easy to maintain distance from other groups.

There will be no Pioneer Overnights this year, however we are planning two late nights at Six Flags and Cape May.

We will be traveling by T&L Bus Service on all of our trips. On all trip days campers must wear their Camp Gan Israel t-shirt which they will receive on their first day of camp. Additional t-shirts can be purchased for $12.

Due to the level of restrictions in serving hot food and the use of a commercial kitchen, Camp Gan Israel will not be serving hot lunch this summer.

Here are is our lunch plan:

1 - In general, campers can bring in their own Kosher lunch. However,  we will always have bread, cream cheese, hard cheese, jelly, fruits, veggies and snacks on site to offer your children instead of bringing in their own lunch. (No need to notify us in advance)

2 - Wednesday is Pizza Day! We will have Pizza delivered for the whole camp, so no need to send in lunch.

I hope this clarifies, any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Each bunk will be considered a cohort, and will mostly not intermingle with others. Masks and social distancing will be required if doing an activity with another bunk.
